Pixel issue:
Laptop uses LCD to display images and LCD is made up of numerous pixels which mean thousands of dots clustered in a single area. So, when a part of a screen damages then the entire computing experience gets ruined. In such cases, the user should go for screen replacement.
Turn ON the backlight switch:
Laptop usually has backlit screen which makes it easier for one to view screen clearly. If accidentally this switch turns off then the screen would not be visible enough. This particular switch is very thin and located near the laptop hinges. Generally, closing and turning on the laptop several times should solve the issue. If this doesn’t work then you can use a small pin to bring the switch from closed to open position. Often, a gentle tap also fixes this issue.
Fluctuating screen or solid white color screen:
If you come across a flickering screen then the definite problem is with the inverter and without a second thought you should replace the inverter of your laptop. You might also face a solid white color screen, in that case the problem persists with the connection. Open up your laptop and check for entire connection set up or a damaged cable.
Jumbled screen images:
Another kind of screen problem is jumbled images displaying on the screen. This may be due to damaged video card. To confirm this, you can connect some other monitor to the video card and if same problem continues then it is definitely because of video card.
How to replace Laptop Screen?
All you need a screwdriver to be handy!
1. Before replacing the screen, make sure that the screen is its kind and fits into it. To start the process, initial steps would be: shutdown your laptop remove the battery.

3. After the screen and bezel are separated, tilt the screen forward and it will pop out. This makes the connection visible between laptop and screen. Two main wires are: video cable and inverter cable. You have to detach the video cable and choice is yours to detach or not to detach inverter’s cable.
4. Now, you are good to go for plugging in the new screen. Before screwing the screen to bezel, make sure that your laptop is working properly. Then you can shut it down and fit it to the shell on the plastic frame.
Replacing the screen on your own doesn’t only save your time from taking it to service center but also saves your money.
